Marion 06:11
Now Marion got to the heavenly gates and he walked on in like he owned the whole place but Saint Peter said no, bro, you don’t get to go ‘til I get a good look at your face Says here your name is Jacobs and I understand you were just thirty seven years old so tell me your story and please keep it brief and I’ll let you in out of the cold Yeah, my name is Jacobs but my friends call me Walter and I struggled with some shit my whole life never did find a soul that could settle me down let alone what you might call a wife I hit the road, and the streets you might say as a child of twelve in the South and I travelled around and worked on my sound as I tried to get by with my mouth I went up to Chicago and I played with some cats but you prob’ly ain’t heard of ‘em, man suffice it say they all did it my way and we toured and I carried the can But my sound was a thing that some people can’t sing like those crooners out selling their shit and before I knew what, I was losing the plot and went crazy just chasing a hit So here I am in this light – I got beat in fight one of many that I can’t recall Bro, please let me in ‘cause I’m suddenly cold and my head hurts from taking that fall Hey Walter! Here’s your harp and welcome on in Peter grins as he hands him that thing What the fuck is this shit? Here, I brought my own and Walter leans down and plugs in . . .
